Judging Criteria

  • Problem Statement
The project has a clear problem statement and indicates how the project will solve it.
  • Idea
The originality of an idea will also be considered during judging. If something similar exists it must differentiate from it in some way that makes sense.
  • Implementation
This criteria considers how much of the project is original work completed during the hackathon compared to building on existing libraries, projects, etc. It also includes how polished and well implemented the project is.
  • Presentation
This criteria is based on the team's ability to articulate the problem they are trying to solve and their solution to it. It also takes into account the team's ability to discuss the technical aspects of the project.
